COVID19 has catapulted Digital Transformation from being a prediction about the future to being a here-and-now imperative. Making sense of this inflexion point is the goal of Lottery Expo: Transformed and Post-COVID19 Lottery: The Movie. Whether in-person in Nashville or entirely virtual, Lottery EXPO: Transformed will be a live-streamed and highly interactive webinar event. The final scenes of Post-COVID19 Lottery: the Movie will be recorded and the final cut premiered at this event on Oct. 14 and 15.
While we hope and expect that conditions will allow us to see you in-person in Nashville, PGRI’s digital platform is where the audience of thousands of industry professionals will convene and forge new pathways to enable us all to stay connected, share ideas and best-practices, and preserve our feeling of community. Let’s take this opportunity to transform for a new age, a digital era rich with tools for collaboration, communication, and interaction. This is a time for aspirational goals to inspire us to stretch the boundaries for what can be accomplished, invent entirely new ways to change the world, and embark on a journey fueled by vision-driven momentum to meet the future head-on, with gusto, confidence, and actionable strategies.
Follow PublicGaming.org (our conference website) or PublicGaming.com (PGRI home-page and news website) for conference and webinar updates, and to follow the production process as we toil to create a new kind of experience, digitally transformed to not just enable but enrich and enhance the joy of working and striving together.

"We are pleased with the fundamentals of our business as we have navigated the impact of the COVID-19 Closures. Given these closures, we expected a negative impact in the second quarter, however the implementation of aggressive cost-savings measures and the strong demand in our online business, which more than doubled on a pro forma basis versus last year's second quarter, helped to compensate for the retail closures and we were able to achieve EBITDA profitability during the quarter," said Lorne Weil, Executive Chairman of Inspired.
William Hill would have reported a £51m profit if not for the FOBT curbs but instead slumped to a £63.5m loss as it took a £97m one-off accounting charge related to the impact on the value of its bookmaking business. The firm’s chief executive, Philip Bowcock, said: “We are making good progress against the five-year strategy we outlined last year, delivering strong revenue growth in the US and other international markets and positioning William Hill well for future growth.
But we are closed and the eight tribal casinos are not. Neither are the casinos in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Jersey, Ohio. Everybody who would ordinarily be going to my casinos in an area where nobody is sick is now going to other casinos in areas where there are far more people testing positive than in upstate New York," said Vernon Downs and Tioga Downs owner Jeff Gural.
"Fabio Celadon is an important member of the senior leadership team at IGT," said Marco Sala, IGT CEO. "I look forward to his continued contributions in this new role."
“Dan’s award is based on the exceptional strength of his achievements with IGT over the past eight years,” said Nick Khin, IGT Chief Commercial Officer. “We’re proud to join the industry in celebrating his outstanding ability to build relationships, foster partnerships, and provide exceptional value to our strategic customers, ensuring that IGT delivers outstanding player experiences.”
Kathy George, Chief Executive Officer at FireKeepers, said, "Our goal is to create a 360-degree entertainment experience, and we're building on the success of our award-winning casino, outstanding dining, entertainment and Four Diamond rated hotel.
“The extension of the deal between the New York Jets and 888casino.com for a second year in a row only reaffirms our expansion efforts and reiterates the interest in online gaming within the US sports community,” said Yaniv Sherman, Head of Group Commercial Development. “The continuation of the partnership marks another milestone for 888casino.com in the US, as we continue to pioneer betting operations through this sponsorship agreement, our second consecutive with an NFL team!”
